We are seeking multiple Robot Programmers at our Automation and Assembly division. We are focused on providing world-class technology solutions to our customers, programming customized equipment such as Battery Tray Assembly and Battery Assembly and Test Systems, Leak Test Equipment, Industrial Parts Washers and Material Handling Automation.

What you’ll get to do

  • Perform robotic programming (for robots such as Fanuc, ABB, Kawasaki, and Motoman), including the following:
  • Simulation programs
  • Offline Programming
  • Robotic Dress
  • Communications set up example: Profinet, Industrial ENet and DNet
  • Robotic safety setup
  • Robotic Vision Guided Systems
  • Develop and implement standard engineering practices and provide detailed documentation
  • Develop logic for simulation programs
  • Set up communication to PLC and auxiliary devices
  • Installation of tooling at the customer plant
  • Introduce programming improvements in robotic systems
  • Implement application requirements related to robotic washing, welding, joining, sealing, inspection and material handling functions
  • De-bug, tryout and verify I/O signals and interference zones in the system
  • Provide complete documentation of the robotic procedure, including a printout of robot path programs and all associated data fields
  • Train, robot end users through the provision of instruction, advice and feedback to minimize downtime and enable users to quickly achieve full productive capacity

What you bring

  • A completed college or university program in Electrical Engineering/Technology, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, Robotic Studies or another similar field of study
  • Capability to work well within a team-based work environment, prioritizing plans of action to accomplish objectives
  • 4 years of practical experience in designing, installing, commissioning, servicing, and troubleshooting pneumatic, mechanical and electronic automated equipment in an industrial or manufacturing environment
  • Skill to prioritize plans of action to accomplish objectives
  • Excellent communication skills to successfully manage the customer relationship, while on site
  • Ability and willingness to travel internationally to customer locations
