We are seeking a Project Accountant to join our Corporate Accounting group. This key position on our Finance team offers an amazing learning experience and high visibility in the company, with regular interaction with our operations teams regarding work in process project accounting and month-end reporting.

What you’ll get to do

• Provide cost accounting and analysis support on ongoing projects for the core divisions of the companies
• Develop, analyze and interpret accounting information to monitor project performance through close interaction with project management and engineering teams
• Assist in evaluating project and program profitability
• Support preparation of journal vouchers, accruals, and analysis of costs to support month-end processes
• Assist in developing monthly forecasts targeted against annual budget objectives
• Assist in preparing monthly and year-to-date financial reports, to be distributed to management
• Other analytical reporting duties as required

What you bring

• 3-year Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or a degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in business
• 2+ years in a similar role preferred, but not required
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others to accomplish goals
• Excellent business judgment, analytical, and decision-making skills
• CPA designation is an asset
