We are seeking a CNC Burning Machine Operator to join our heavy fabrication and machining team at Valco Manufacturing Inc.

What you’ll get to do

• Ensure details are burned in accordance with the specifications and tolerances required by the customer
• Co-ordinate manufacturing requirements with the job scheduler
• Consult with the technical support group to maximize quality and productivity
• Conduct routine maintenance inspections of equipment and report the results of the inspections to plant management
• Ensure maintenance of equipment is completed as scheduled and records of equipment maintenance are readily available at all times
• Ensure all safety devices are in place and functional on all equipment in the department and no safety device is defeated or rendered temporarily non-functional by other operating personnel

What you bring

• A completed high school diploma or equivalent
• Complete familiarity with general fabricating procedures and operations
• Minimum 3 years experience in plate burning and CNC programming
• Knowledge of metric dimensioning
• A proven ability to work well within a team-based work environment, prioritizing plans of action to accomplish objective
