We are seeking a Financial Analyst at our corporate headquarters who will maintain accounting records for the Valiant TMS North American group of companies in relation to cash and capital assets, as well as develop and maintain financial reports on a weekly and monthly basis to review with the senior accounting team and department managers throughout the company.

What you’ll get to do

• Cash Reporting and Forecasting – balancing and reporting daily cash transactions, preparing monthly bank account reconciliations, posting journal entries and preparing cash forecasting models
• Capital Assets and Reporting – coordinating and reviewing capital asset acquisition and disposal requests, preparing monthly capital asset general ledger reconciliations, reporting capital asset purchases against developed budgets and posting journal entries in relation to capital assets
• Monthly Corporate Consolidation and Inventory Margin review – assisting the Corporate Controller and senior management in preparing plant consolidation reports and reviewing plant inventories
• Other Financial Reporting – preparing and issuing ad hoc government reporting and other financial reports to measure employee utilization for senior accounting and department managers and developing other reports and assignments as directed by the senior accounting team

What you bring

• 5+ years of experience in a similar capacity
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with high credibility at all levels of the organization, inclusive of various departments outside of accounting
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA is preferred or willing to obtain a professional accounting designation
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications with a very strong understanding and capability with Excel
• Detail-oriented and organized with a driven analytical ability and decision-making skillset
• High ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative to seek and obtain information to meet set deadlines
