We are seeking a Mechanical Engineering Team Analyst to join our team in Auburn Hills, Michigan where we design, build and integrate body-in-white welding and joining production systems for the automotive and commercial truck sectors. Our flexible body shop automation systems and smart work cells help OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers bring their products to life while adapting to rapidly changing technology and consumer demands.

What you’ll get to do

  • Serve as the single point of contact for questions and clarifications on mechanical design and engineering-related information; which may include drawings, process documentation, design documentation, and simulation documentation
  • Transfer of all engineering documentation to the Technical Documentation department for final buy-off books development
  • Obtain and/or download product, process, and tool data from customers
  • Upload information and customer deliverables at different phases of the project for completing customer requirements during the life of a project
  • Maintain a running log of all information uploaded and delivered to the customer so it can be used as evidence for the completion of customer requirements for deliverables
  • Participate in the development, implementation, and maintenance of a new PDM/PLM system to manage data and information within the Engineering Department

What you bring

  • Completed post-secondary education in technical or engineering studies
  • Direct experience and demonstrated capabilities in working with and reviewing CAD data of 2D and 3D drawings of tools for the automotive and heavy industry are required
  • Specialized training in CAD systems and software, such as Catia, NX, FIDES, AutoCAD, Inventor, and SOLIDWORKS
  • Familiarity and experience in planning, developing, and maintaining a PDM/PLM system such as  Teamcenter is highly recommended
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Ability to work with others, including peers and personnel in other departments
