Executive Account Manager

Act as liaison between customer, purchasing, engineering, and internal departments, to ensure all customer specifications and standards are followed in the quoting phase. Serve as a Valiant TMS liaison and customer contacts on matters relating to engineering and manufacturing for active and future projects. Apply technical knowledge of Valiant TMS IP attendant with OEM manufacturing settings, coordinating proper utilization of Valiant TMS technologies for the OEM’s benefit. Liaise with customer engineering personnel in order to identify production requirements, impediments and apply Valiant TMS technical capacities accordingly. Confer with OEM engineering personnel as to metrics, tolerances, and exact specifications in order to meet production targets – while not sacrificing quality, and minimizing downtime. Be the voice of the customer and advocate for the company. Prepare and deliver technical presentations serving to explain Valiant TMS systems, their applications and utilities. Assess and analyze quoted hours ensuring competitive costs. Ensure the delivery of quotes on time and as to the customers’ schedule. Assist processing and engineering departments with tool location on automation lines that include robot welding, and robot material handling applications. Support and coordinate with PM throughout the project life cycle and the Engineering team during Project and Design Reviews, ensuring all lessons learned and continual improvements are incorporated, captured, and implemented on future projects. Assist in developing new products, existing product improvements, and standards in proposal and costing. Attend customer line-up meetings and provide technical assistance to internal departments directly responsible for engineering and manufacturing of projects. Maintain open communications with all Team Members, being responsive to their requirements. Assist personnel in problem-solving and continuous improvement. Participate in the NCR, 8D, lessons learned, and continuous improvement processes and procedures.

  • Bachelor Degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, ten years of experience in the position offered, or in a similar position, such as Integration Manager, Project Manager, or Installation Manager. Experience must include managing the planning and execution of installations, launches, and after-sales support of large-scale automated production systems (including body shops, framing systems, underbody, closure assembly, closure hang, and hemming systems) for automotive component manufacturers.

Work location: Auburn Hills, MI

Travel: 60% of the time, including international
