We are seeking a Documentation Specialist who will execute the research and development of both graphic and written materials supporting the operation, maintenance, and training publication requirements for Valiant TMS Welding and Assembly System customers.

What you’ll get to do

  • Develop 2D and 3D illustrations from native CAD models
  • Prepare spare parts lists from mechanical and controls bill of materials, OEM catalog references, and other data sources
  • Develop and edit industrial placards (ECPL, lubrication, maintenance, etc.)
  • Create illustrations, charts, and graphs using Microsoft PowerPoint to support sales, engineering, estimating, and training proposals and presentations
  • Develop project ‘buy-off’ manuals and prepare check sheets, inspection reports, OEM equipment signoff statements, and other customer-defined templates
  • Shoot, enhance, and edit digital photos of automation equipment
  • Edit digital video and animations for use in engineering reports

What you bring

  • An Associate Degree in communication arts, illustration, digital publishing, graphic design, language arts, or technical writing or equivalent experience in the maintenance of manufacturing equipment and/or industrial controls
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Premiere), AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Nice to have

  • 2-4 years of publication/illustration experience is preferred
