We are seeking an Accounts Payable Analyst to join our Corporate Accounting team, to play a key role in our project operations teams; including establishing, maintaining, and monitoring all project contract files.

What you’ll get to do

  • Verify the accuracy of supplier invoices by confirming receipt of goods and matching invoices to purchase orders and packaging slips
  • Manage invoice posting through supplier invoice scanning software and troubleshoot as required
  • Ensure all applicable discounts are noted and recorded on the appropriate supplier invoices
  • Match freight bills owing with goods received and approve them for payment
  • Interact with suppliers and co-workers on matters related to invoice adjustments, approvals, and payments
  • Maintain and manage monthly intercompany payable reconciliations
  • Review general accrual account for aging of receipts recorded without matching invoice
  • Set up new vendors in the computer systems as required
  • Maintain payable files and code payables for posting
  • Assume other accounting duties as assigned by the senior accounting team

What you bring

  • A post-secondary diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Administration, or other similar fields of study
  • Previous accounting experience, including co-op or summer placements, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitasking and prioritizing tasks, and demonstrating attention to detail while adhering to tight deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with high credibility at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work well under pressure
